Task 2: script

The Script I haven't made a script a i have no dialogue in the opening, on the day of shooting i will use stage directions to guide the actors. I may include a scream when Jason is being stabbed, just to emphasise the killing. When I give the actors stage directions I will record them when we do a walk through so I can remember and the actors can rehearse when I'm sorting out the positioning of the camera.

Task1: Lullaby

Image
HORROR -  Lullaby Lullaby: Director: Justine Spencer This film is about a young girl who has trouble sleeping. the director plays along with he theory that you only have one continuousness nightmare. The girl tries to take pills to help her sleep through it so she stops having nightmares. The film is a horror and the mise en scene helps to show that. What do we learn?   In the opening we learn that a girl is running, she's holding a torch as we can assume she's running away from someone or something. She's almost possessed in some scenes with something drawing her to the woods. We get the idea of the girl being followed or stalked as when she's in the kitchen, the camera is on the outside of the window.  Who are we introduced to? We are introduced to a girl who looks like she's in her teen years. The girl clearly has trouble sleeping and is trying to take pills to go to sleep as she has nightmares. Her white costume show's she could be a ghost or even an angel

FILMING: TOAST

This is my toast video, I am not happy with most of this editing however im looking for remaking it and I'll post it again.

Task 2: Story board

This is my stoyboard that tells me what camera angle I am going to use and it has pictures to show me what it could look like on camera.

Task 2: Casting Justfication

Jenny Field: This is Amanda Smith she will be playing Jenny. She's comfortable in front of the camera. She did as i asked her too and her acting was good.   She used some of her own ideas on how to make Jenny seem normal yet suspicious. She contributed well and she was exactly what I envisioned.  Jason Strauss This is Paul and he was perfect for the role of Jason. He has the build where you would expect to be a gangster or even a ‘hard man’  but he likes to workout and help the community. Paul helped suggest ideas to show how intimidated  he was by Jenny. Paul enjoyed playing this role as his personality is almost the opposite.

Task 2: Costume/hair/makeup/props List

Jenny Field: Clothing that’s contemporary for the time. A red top to show how dangerous she is, the red is also symbolic of the idea that she is very overprotective of anyone she loves. She would wear darker colours to make the red stand out.  Her make up would be natural and nothing too extravagant as she's a teenager who likes to keep to herself and doesn't want to draw attention to herself. Jenny's hair will be down, to almost hide behind her face.    Jason Struass: Clothing that's contemporary for the time. He would wear a big black coat when the sun's gone down to keep him warm. He would also have jeans or trousers depending if he's gone to do any volunteering.  Jason will have no make up , however when he is getting stabbed, i will use fake blood on his face and on the knife.  Jason's hair will be grey to show his age, and how vulnerable he could be. Jason's hair would be styled and messed up towards the end.  Props: Knife - The knife is used in J
