The film starts with a few clips of the derelict town, in about 0.30 minutes in there's movement of a young boy running. This Sets the scene for the rest of the film. The setting is very quiet and it starts with the characters in a shop, no body is around. The characters are using sign language to communicate. There's missing people posters up on a pin board, the director thought about every detail to the mise-en-scene. The cinematography and editing is slow, there 8 still videos of the town that show the setting. They are about 4 second videos which are quite long compared to 2 second clips. The camera angle varies to give the best angle. Some are shots of the floor and some are of the sky/ceiling. This opening is contrasting with the climax of the film near the end where there's short, fast quick pace shots. There is a tracking shot moving past the aisle showing two of
